They've been busy doing everything except leaving the computers open so I could read my letters from Mum and Dad, and post replies. Not. Acceptable.

Luckily Her is in the front garden (quite the project going out there, heh!) and Him is in the study working on his book. So I am in the back on Her laptop, and can reply to this letter from Mum that was posted OVER TEN DAYS AGO!

Hello my darling Roo. Your Dad has sold 4 Motorbikes. The bungalow is on the market. We have seen some lovely houses in Devon that are for sale, but until this sells we are stuck. I'm hoping as it's a bungalow it will sell quickly, but we've only two viewings so far. Maybe it's because we've used an online site the age of the people that usually buy these aren't computer savvy. I've told your dad if it hasn't sold within the month, I want to get in touch with proper estate agents.

I had to take your sisfur da Dinkie to the vet last week as we thought she has a furball in her tummy. She WAS NOT impressed with what the v*t did to her, or the fact she had to have antibiotics twice a day. Shadow & Smudge are both fit as fiddles, although Smudge still misses my Mum and goes around the house shouting for her. A couple of nights a week I sleep in the single room to give him some company & your Dad some peace from my snoring lol. Your Dad let him sleep in our room on Saturday, and didn't even know he was there until he walked across the top of his head shouting he needed to go out - mol mol, but it was a 6.45am, so I opened the bedroom door and he went and got on his chair in the lounge.

I'm really looking forward to us being reunited as soon as we've got a new house sorted out in Devon, and hope it won't be too long.

Lots of love from Mum, Dad, Smudge, Shadow & da Dinkie xxx

Dear Mum and Dad, HIYA!!
Poor little Dinkie! I certainly hope she is fine now, and that she hasn't had to visit the V*t again. I don't much like him either, even though he knows I am a superb specimen of feline grace and certainly doesn't hesitate to say so, I still do not care to visit there. At all.
However, he sent a little card to Them that it is time for my worming (ick, ack, gag!!) so They are taking me in some time next week. I. Am. Not. Amused.
I am very glad to hear Smudge and Shadow continue well, I hope Dinkie has made a full recovery from her ordeal!
I'm fine, not doing much at all really except lying about in the sun when Him and Her put The Horrible on me and tie my lead to the washing line. I quite like lying in the grass, even when the little 'beans from next door come up and stare at me over the garden gate. Him brings my water bowl out and sets it in the shady part of the garden. I eat grass, whorf up hair balls, drink water, and lie in the sun. Then I lie in the shade.
Yes, it's a Kat's Life I'm living up here in Scotland! The Warm is finally back, and it is so warm that They have not put wood in the stove for several days. I confess I miss having a bit of a fire in the evenings even though it is quite warm all through the night.
I am very much looking forward to being Home. I think They will miss me terribly when I do come home and I admit I shall think of them fondly. But it will be good to be Home! I hope the bungalow sells well, and soon:)

Hi Roo,

Well the bungalow is still on the market, something to do with the EU, Greece & 18th June, or so your Dad said. Whoosh all that stuff goes straight over my head!

Your Dad has been really good looking after me, as I've been down in the dumps, I expected to have been down in Devon by now and reunited with you. Patience has never been one of my strong points.

Thankfully Dinkie has made a full recovery. Shadow & Smudge are showing off to each other out in the garden, I can tell spring is here, Smudge seems to forget that he's 19 and acts like a kitten at times.

It's great to see that you get outside when it's warm, do the small beans come and make a fuss of you? As I know you'd enjoy that.

The weather here has been so unpredictable, the heatings on, then off, then on, then off. I wish the weather would makes its mind up.

I've heard about your latest escape to sort out a strange cat in your garden. Hearing about that really had me in stitches, I would have loved to have seen the look of shock on the other cats face when you appeared. I had to tell my friends in a cat club that I belong to on Facebook mol mol mol was all I got back from them.

I supposed I'd better go and do some hoovering as Shadow is losing her winter coat, you wouldn't believe the carpet is meant to be cream coloured!

Missing you everyday, and looking forward to being reunited.

Lots of love, hugs and purrs, from Mum, Dad, Shadow, Smudge & Dinkie.xxxx

Hello Roo,

I'm assuming that your foster mum is still busy sorting out the front garden which is why I haven't heard from you, and I know decorating has been mentioned when your foster dad & dad get chatting on the phone, you can blame me for that!

I've bought you four furbabies a cat activity climbing centre with lots of scratching points for you to sharpen your claws, and four toy mice on strings for you to play with. Your Dad helped me contruct it this morning as I wanted to check everything was in the box.

I'm impressed with it and will try to get a photograph taken and sent up to you. I'm pretty sure you will like it as the top viewing/snoozing platform is 6' high and I know you love high spots to see what is going on around you. It will be in the conservatory of our new house (when we move). Smudge doesn't seem to mind it as I gave him some treats on the second level, which he ate, then climbed down the little ladder and jumped off from the first level. Dinkie is not at all impressed, tried her on the first level, she climbed down the ladder to the ground then went out in the garden with the huff, came in for her dinner, glared at it as she walked past, ate her dinner and glared at it again on the way back out to the garden. Shadow has looked at it, but has not attempted to try it out yet. Your dad & I have decided to let her do her own thing, I'm going to throw her catnip mouse on the base and see what happens.

I really hope you all like it, or as your Dad said "We're all going to be in the doghouse" lol

I'll close for now and hope to hear from you soon.

Lots of love, hugs, kisses and purrs, from Mum, Dad, Smudge, Shadow & da Dinkie. xxxx

Hello our wee man Roo >^o^<,

The weather here has been weird over the last few weeks, summer seems to have come and gone again. Are you managing to get some outside time up there, or are you staying close to the log burner?

I so sorry we haven't been able to come up & see you, (but know you're never far from our thoughts). We really did think that we'd be settled in Devon by now and have you home with us :o{

We've reduced the price of the bungalow to £185,000 oiro to see if that will help shift it!

Shadow has claimed one of the lower lookout/beds on the activity centre. Your dad was so sure none of your sisfurs or brofur would use it, so I started putting a few of Shadows treats on it, she soon got the hang of that, and he came in yesterday morning to find her sound asleep right at the top, so I've had the last laugh on that ;P and we're not in the doghouse!

Dinkie & Smudge are still not impressed at all, think it's something to do with them being elderly and more dignified. mol mol

Lots of love, hugs, headbonks, nose kisses & purrs from Mum, Dad, Smudge, Shadow & da Dinkie xxxx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROO,

We hope you are having a lovely day.

I understand from your dad there is a possibility that you'll be coming home to us fairly soon - I'm so excited and can't wait for a cuddle and nose kisses. I've already got the feliway plugged in, which will hopefully keep the atmosphere calm, so there won't be any major fisticuffs between you & your brofur and sisfurs.

I know your foster parents will miss you an awful lots once you're back with us, but it will give them a chance to adopt their own furbabies and give them a happy forever home.

Your dad went down to Devon last week for a few days, and Sue at number 3 & the owners of Smytham have said they wished that you'd never left, as they have had rat problems, and they know it wouldn't have happened if you'd been there! Instead they've had to put rat traps all over the caravan site.

I'm really excited about seeing you again soon, and taking you for walks down here. It's not as quiet as where you are, or where we want to move to, but you'll finally be home with us!

Lots of love, Mum, Dad, Shadow, Smudge & Dinkie. >'o'< xxxx

Hiya Roo,

Roll on tomorrow. We are so pleased that you are finally coming home, I just hope you remember us after 9 long months apart :o(

Your dad has made a security door so we can open the back door if it's hot, which it has been for the past couple of weeks.

I've been asked if I can walk you up to visit Eric & Elsie who met you when they stayed in the caravan. Sandy & Dave, Sue & Paul, Rick & Megan are all looking forward to seeing you again, once we're down in Devon as I've kept them updated on Facebook with how you've been getting on with your extended holiday in Scotland.

There are also some friends down there who have heard all about you and are looking forward to meeting you as well.

The bungalow is now registered with a proper estate agent called John Cottis who have a lot of sold signs up around here. Fingers & paws crossed it sells quickly so we can get back down to the west country.

I'm still hoping to get a bungalow down there which will be better for us as my back has been a horror lately.

I'll close for now, and look forward to a snuggle with you for real tomorrow >'o'<

Take care & lots of love from Mum, Dad, Shadow, Smudge & Dinkie xxx
