FINAL UPDATE:

Things did not work out for Mozart and Gonzo in south Alabama, and they have been rehomed at a forever home back in North Georgia.

Relations between Fox and me continue joyfully, however.

This will sadly be the last post on their blog. Fox and I will miss Mozart and Gonzo VERY much but their best interests are better served in a home with a people who is home all the time (Fox's schedule has him at the restaurant over 12 hours a day), a home with warmth and love.

Thank-you all who followed the adventures of two cats who were determined to find a forever home, two cats who went through some heartrending situations as they made their way into my life, Fox's, and now their new home. They've been with their new people for a couple of months and it is working out beautifully for them.

They will not be posting from their new home, though, so I wanted to let everyone know what has happened.

Sad to hear this is the end of this blog, but glad that Mozart & Gonzo are happy and together.

Perhaps M & G will get to start blogging again sometime. Forever is a long long time, and you never know.

A slightly morbid suggestion for Fox's Mom: If you are going to leave this blog up (which we hope you do), either keep an eye on any comments, or change comments to Moderated.

Comment spammers love finding a post where they can dump their junk. To them, a dormant blog is like sugar to a bunch of ants.

Someone found a post we did a couple years ago, and every so often we get a bunch of Viagra ads or something comparable dumped into the comments. We finally changed so comments are moderated after a few months, but they still take a shot every so often. (apparently not everyone gets the word that this window is now closed)

Good luck, and we hope we get an occasional Mozart & Gonzo picture, at least.

Thank-you for the suggestion, I'll leave it open for a few more weeks as I'm hoping their new People is going to post if she's going to start a new blog for them-she's not much of a computer user, and pics of Mozart and Gonzo will have to be scanned to be posted, lol!

Things are going very well for them, though, they are happy and healthy, and that's what counts.

Cheers!

FWIW. If they decide to start a new blog for M & G, tell them to check with TigerDirect. Blog posts don't need much of a camera, and buying a cheap one there or any one of several other places would likely be easier than continually having pictures developed and scanned.
